Admissions
School admissions is often a very anxious time for parents. To help you identify whether Vaughan Primary school is the right choice for you and your child, our prospectus is available here. Together with the video, the prospectus will give you an insight into what life is like as a member of the Vaughan Primary school community.
Whilst the Local Authority School Admissions office process applications for places at our school, Mr Byford (the Admissions Officer) is available to discuss how this process works and answer any questions you may have about Vaughan Primary School. He can be contacted through the School Office by writing to admissions@vaughan.harrow.sch.uk.
Admission to Vaughan Nursery
We provide 15 hours of nursery care each week in a Morning or an Afternoon class. The morning sessions run from 8.40-11.40am and the afternoons run from 12.40-3.40pm.
Applications for an immediate start are managed directly by the school and all enquiries should be sent to Mr Byford. We can accept children who will be old enough to start in the Reception Year the following September - this means that children born between September 2020 and August 2021 can join us this academic year.
The first round of offers made to applicants for children starting in September 2025 has resulted in the Morning class being fully subscribed, but some places are still available in our Afternoon class. We are still accepting applications for children born between September 2021 and August 2022 to join us this coming September and these can be sent in to us at the admissions email address: admissions@vaughan.harrow.sch.uk.
In July, we will be writing to parents who have been offered a place to let them know the dates for their Meet the Teacher meeting in September, and their start date.
If you would like to know more about applying for a Nursery place, please contact us by phone on 0208 427 7222 or by email to admissions@vaughan.harrow.sch.uk.
Admission to Vaughan Primary School
As a maintained school, the admissions process for both the Reception intake and in-year transfers is managed by Harrow Council. More information on how to apply for a place at our school can be found here: Apply for a primary school place – London Borough of Harrow
Applying for a place in Reception, starting September 2025: September's Reception intake will be for children born between September 2020 and August 2021. As mentioned above, the application process is managed by Harrow Council and the closing date for the main round of applications was 15 January 2025. Late applications can still be made, but will be processed after those received before the deadline.
Whilst the school can offer general advice regarding how this process works, we have no role to play in deciding who is offered a place. More information on the application for, and allocation of, places in Harrow schools can be found in the 'Primary Schools Guide', linked at the bottom of this page.
We are now taking bookings for Tours of Vaughan Primary school. These are for parents considering their choices for the Reception intake starting in September 2026. They will take place on:

- 10 October 2025
- 7, 14, 21 & 28 November 2025
